Ixworth has a really good range of local facilities, including a school and a surgery, so you'll soon become part of the community. With Bury St Edmunds less than 10 miles away, you've got that as a back-up for anything else you might need, for your home, for entertainment and for leisure.
Regular train services from Bury St Edmunds link Cambridge and Ipswich and the A14 is the road link between the two. The Thetford Forest Park- the UK's largest man-made forest - is just to the north of the village. That sorts out weekend walks with the family with a different route to choose each time you visit.
