Facilities and festival

Stockton Calling is a day-long music festival that takes place across multiple venues throughout the town. The International Riverside Festival is a huge, open-air festival that attracts a huge number of visitors to enjoy a wide range of art, from street theatre and circus to dance and music. The town also puts on a large firework display for the 5th of November and a Christmas market. Beaches and moorland

The town is just inland, meaning great beaches will be within easy reach of your new build. Redcar beach is the closest, and one of the best beaches in the region. There are eight miles of sandy beaches, with watersports, amusement arcades, ice cream parlours and plenty of fish and chip shops to enjoy. 

Just south of the town is the expansive North York Moors National Park. Covering around 500 square miles, this is a haven for nature lovers and those who enjoy the great outdoors. There are all sorts of adventures to enjoy here, from hiking and cycling to horse riding and rock climbing. There’s also plenty of arts and culture to enjoy with plenty of events and festivals being held at venues across the moors.

Outstanding schools

If you’re moving with children, you’re spoilt for choice for good schools. There are five schools rated Outstanding by Ofsted within the town. This is the highest category that can be awarded, meaning the schools provide the highest quality care and education for their children. In addition, there are numerous nurseries and even a campus of the prestigious Durham University. So, if you’re moving with children, you’ll have excellent options for their education at every stage.
