The A465 winds its way east to west joining Ebbw Vale with Abergavenny (12 miles) and Merthyr Tydfil (10 miles) - from there, commuters can head south along the A470 through the Valleys, towards Cardiff (32 miles). Trains from Ebbw Vale Town station and Ebbw Vale Parkway take you to Cardiff Central in about an hour. For business and pleasure, Cardiff Airport is 40 miles away, taking just over an hour to drive from your new Ebbw Vale home.

The Ebbw Vale Rugby Football Club has a successful record of producing international players and they have played at a semi-professional level in the Welsh Premiership. Cricket has also played its part in the town with the first recorded match in 1852 and up until this century, Glamorgan County Cricket played fixtures locally at Eugene Park. The Brecon Beacons
