Rotherham
Rotherham, to the north east of Sheffield, is a pleasantly leafy place to buy a new house. Walking out from your new build, you can enjoy Victorian parks and magnificent grade I listed buildings including the magnificent Rotherham Minster. The town's industrial past is on show too, with the former Templeborough steelworks, now the Magna Science Adventure Centre - the largest adventure museum in Europe, housed in a building that’s a third of a mile long and 150 feet high.
Buying a new home will give you access to a thriving arts scene, a host of leisure activities and events including fashion show Rotherham Rocks and Rotherham by the Sea, where Clifton Park is transformed into a beach. The greenbelt means that your home is encircled in green space for leisure and pleasure, with the Trans-Pennine trails, Rotherham Roundwalk and several golf courses all nearby.
