A place to call home in Ixworth
Our Priory Gardens development is coming soon to the friendly village of Ixworth. You can benefit from the best of both worlds living here, as you can enjoy peaceful country walks as well as being close to the historic town of Bury St Edmunds.
Ixworth has a really good range of local facilities, including a school and a surgery, so you'll soon become part of the community. With Bury St Edmunds less than 10 miles away, you've got that as a back-up for anything else you might need, for your home, for entertainment and for leisure.
Regular train services from Bury St Edmunds link Cambridge and Ipswich and the A14 is the road link between the two. The Thetford Forest Park- the UK's largest man-made forest - is just to the north of the village. That sorts out weekend walks with the family with a different route to choose each time you visit.
Our show homes are open for you to visit. If you’d like to come and visit, arranging an appointment is advisable so we can ensure we have someone here to welcome you, however, this isn’t essential; please feel free to stop by at a time convenient to you. Please just check our opening times above.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
For day-to-day essentials, Thurston is under five miles away with a choice of supermarkets and places to eat. Thurston train station has regular trains to Cambridge and Ipswich. For even more choice of entertainment and shopping, the centre of Bury St Edmunds is just 7.4 miles from Priory Gardens, and has a good choice of high street stores. The Arc Shopping centre is just 7.7 miles from the development and offers a range of popular shops. To keep you entertained, Bury St Edmunds offers fun for the family with Bury Bowl, Planet Laser, Skyliner Sports Centre and CurveMotion indoor play park.
There's a lot to do in the local area. Enjoy the beautiful gardens at Wyken Vineyards with its well-stocked farm shop, welcoming restaurant and lovely views. Pakenham Watermill is another great day out for the family, where you can take in the history of a working mill and enjoy its delicious produce in the tearooms.
Local schools include Ixworth Primary School and SET Ixworth School – both of which are less than one mile from Priory Gardens. Further afield are Thurston Community College and Thurston Primary School. Both offer brilliant after school clubs and activities for all ages.
