Persimmon @ Valley Park is near to the A4130, which is one of the main routes, bypassing the town rather than taking traffic through it. The A34 is also nearby, perfect for the commute into Oxford or to gain access to the M4 into Reading and London. Oxford is 11 miles away. Reading is 21 miles via the A4074, and Swindon is also within commuting distance. Didcot Parkway is an excellent train station, too, with services to London Paddington taking less than 40 minutes.
