New affordable homes delivered in North Tyneside
13 August 2026
New Affordable homes have been handed over to a housing provider in Wallsend.
We've partnered with Aurora Affordable Homes working with North Tyneside Council to deliver 38 homes for affordable rent at Persimmon’s Fallow Park development.
The site, when completed, will have 199 new, high-quality homes and offers a choice of 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes.
Louise Foster, Property Manager, Aurora Affordable Homes said: “Purchasing 38 new homes has been a significant project for Aurora Affordable Homes, and throughout the process Persimmon have been approachable, responsive and genuinely committed to working with us to achieve a shared goal.
“It’s been a real partnership. Their professionalism, willingness to communicate openly and collaborative approach have made the process a positive one from start to finish.
“Most importantly, these aren’t just 38 houses—they’re 38 affordable homes that will make a real difference to individuals and families across the borough. With the demand for affordable housing continuing to grow, every new home we can provide offers someone the opportunity for security, stability and a place to call home.
“We’re incredibly proud to be part of that, and we’re grateful to everyone who has helped make it happen.”
Richard Cook, Persimmon Homes North East Land Director, said: “Fallow Park is delivering high-quality new homes for the community and we are proud to be working in partnership with Aurora Homes to deliver these 38 new, affordable rent properties to the development.
“These homes form a key part of our broader goal to create a positive and lasting legacy wherever we build.”
