New homes in an excellent location for Bristol city centre and for an escape to the country

Beaufort Park, in Patchway on the northern fringes of Bristol, is the ideal location for access to the city centre, the South West, South Wales and the gorgeous countryside of Herefordshire and Gloucestershire. With the M4 and M5 motorways a short drive away, you can get out of the city as easily as you can get into it, so you’ll have the best of both worlds living here.

The range of homes at Beaufort Park will appeal to professionals, families and down-sizers who want to be close to the buzz of the city but not right in the midst of it. Patchway has its own busy life, but it’s also got easy access to some lovely places for quiet downtime – at the Blaise Castle Estate at Henbury, the National Trust’s Leigh Woods and Ashton Court, on the Clifton Downs between Redland and Westbury on Trym and at the University of Bristol Botanic Gardens in Stoke Bishop.

Local facilities

Patchway is an important area in Bristol for some of the UK’s major employers and so there are local facilities and amenities to match. Cribbs Causeway takes the lion’s share when it comes to high street shopping, but Patchway has its own range of independent shops, convenience stores and supermarkets. Nearby Gloucester Road is the longest road of independent shops in the UK. There are several primary schools to choose from and for secondary education, Patchway has a Community School.

Road and rail

The most obvious advantage of choosing a home here is that you’ll have easy access to both the M4 and M5 motorways. Whether your journey is for work or for pleasure, these are excellent direct routes for the South West, South Wales, the Midlands and London. For regular travel into Bristol city centre, Filton Abbey Wood is the local train station with services to Bristol Temple Meads taking an average of 13 minutes. Bristol Parkway is just 5 miles away for services to Cardiff and Swansea.

Days out with the family

Living on the edge of Bristol, you’ll be spoilt for choice for city centre attractions and away-days. Close to home you’ve got Cribbs Causeway for shopping, The Venue for places to eat, and the View Cinema, Hollywood Bowl and Planet Ice for entertainment. For the great outdoors, you can head off for a day by the sea at Clevedon or Weston-Super-Mare or up into the Mendip Hills to explore the Cheddar Gorge and Wookey Hole caves. Just south of Bristol, Tyntesfield is an amazing National Trust country house that time forgot.
