It’s easy to stay busy and active in High Wycombe. The town is home to three leisure centres, all of which have an indoor swimming pool. There’s also a David Lloyd Club with a private gym, sauna, indoor pool, and tennis courts. Other sporting facilities in the area include tennis clubs, a bowling and cricket club and a choice of three pristine golf clubs. And if you’d rather be watching sport than taking part, Adams Park Stadium is home to Wycombe Wanderers FC and London Wasps Rugby Club.
There’s plenty to do if you like a bit of culture, too. Wycombe Swan Theatre hosts a wide variety of drama, comedy and musical productions. There’s a museum located in the town centre, which celebrates the area’s rich history and has activities for all ages. The town also holds the annual Wycombe Arts Festival – a feast for all the senses.

Centrally placed in the heart of affluent Buckinghamshire, High Wycombe is close to the charming and characterful towns of Marlow, Beaconsfield and Henley-on-Thames – all of which make a fantastic day out, whether you’re visiting their quirky historic high streets or simply messing about on the river. There’s also a good selection of grand country houses in the local area.

Living in High Wycombe means you’ll have access to convenient transport links via road, rail and air. The mainline railway station offers a service to London Marylebone in just over 30 minutes and also has frequent services to Birmingham in 1 hour 33 minutes, meanwhile the rail service to Oxford Parkway takes just over 30 minutes.
Road connections are excellent as the town connects with the M40 at junctions 3 and 4, then links with Junction 16 of the M25 eight miles further on. Heading north, the M40 offers easy access to the M1 (30 miles), Oxford (30 miles) and on to Birmingham. And for destinations south and westbound, the M4 is just 12 miles away via the A404. If you’re travelling further afield, Heathrow Airport is approximately 20 miles by road.
