That means travel across South Wales both east and west, for business or pleasure, is made easy. Cardiff is 53 miles and Newport 66 miles, while further travel to the Severn Bridge is 80 miles. Head west, and you can be in Haverfordwest (48 miles) via the A40 at Carmarthern (18 miles) in as little as 70 minutes. The A4138 can have you paddling in the sea at Llanelli in under 10 minutes, while the A4067 can have you walking in the foothills of the Brecon Beacons National Park in as little as 20 minutes. The town’s train station is on the Heart of Wales Line with the average journey time to Swansea being around 40 minutes via Llanelli. The L3 bus takes you to Llanelli, and the X13 and No 16 to Swansea. A new build in Pontarddulais is very well connected!
