Kinross

Kinross is a pretty town with cobbled streets and characterful red standstone cottages. This ancient burgh has many listed buildings, including an island castle that once imprisoned Mary Queen of Scots and the imposing 17th century Kinross House with beautiful colourful gardens. Our development is situated next to Loch Leven with gorgeous woodland and countryside trails for walking and biking as well as a golf course and a nature reserve.

Close to your new build, you’ll find a large supermarket and smaller retailers, good schools with both primary and a secondary school catered for – and great road links. The town is next to the M90 for commutes to Edinburgh and Perth and close to the A9 to Stirling and A90 to Dundee.

Living in Kinross

Your new build close to schools

The town has two great schools - Kinross Primary School and Kinross High School. St Joseph's RC Primary School in Kelty is the nearest faith school, while children with special educational needs can go to either Calaiswood School or Moore House Care & Education in Dunfermline.

Your new home, a commuters paradise

Your new house in Kinross is ideally suited for commutes to Edinburgh (27 miles) and to Perth (17 miles) via the very handy M90. The A91 crosses the motorway just above the town, creating a good link between St Andrews on the east coast, and Stirling to the west. You can cross the Firth of Forth at Queensferry if you are heading into the Capital, or you can take the M80 into Glasgow (40 miles).

While there isn't a railway station, your new home has a good park and ride nearby with regular busses to Perth and Edinburgh. If you'd like to take a train, Dunfermline, also with a park and ride, can have you into Edinburgh in 30 minutes. If you'd like to leave your new build for new horizons, Edinburgh Airport, with a choice of national and international flights is 25 miles away.

Enjoy your leisure time

This characterful town boasts the great outdoors, open countryside and woodland walks straight from the door. The Loch Leven Heritage Trail will challenge you to 13 miles of walking or cycling around the shores of the Loch. If you'd rather sail, there are boat trips across to Loch Leven Castle. Kirkgate Park, the Loch Leven National Nature Reserve and the golf course all have a spectacular lakeside setting with views across to the islands. If you'd like to gym and swim, Live Active Loch Leven is the town’s leisure centre. Or leave your new home town of Kinross and catch a movie at Dunfermline's Odeon cinema, get a strike at Hollywood Bowl and enjoy many other entertainments.
