Stewarton
The pretty market town of Stewarton grew up around the fabric industry and was famous for its hats, earning it the moniker “the bonnet toun”. While the milliners may be consigned to history, the great road links to this prosperous town remain, making Stewarton a great place for modern day commuting. Your new home town has a great community spirit and every year still celebrates its rich history with an annual festival organised by the “Bonnet Guild”.
A dry town up until a century ago, your new home in Stewarton now has the hospitality of two pubs and a gastro pub with fine dining and a roaring fire. There are supermarkets, a convenience store, vets, chemists – there’s both primary and secondary schools – and even a leisure centre. Everything you need is close to your new house in Stewarton, but if you need more, Glasgow, Kilmarnock and Irvine are an easy drive away.

Easy travels across Ayrshire
The M77 is close enough to be handy, but far enough away not to impact the town. As the town used to be a crossroads of trading routes, so benefits from main roads running east to west from the coast to the M77, and northeast to southwest between Glasgow and Kilmarnock. From your new house, you can drive to central Glasgow in about 45 minutes, or you can take the train and be at Glasgow central in just 30 minutes. Kilmarnock is only five miles to the south for additional amenities, and Irvine – on the coast – is 10 miles to the west.
