The town of Falkirk is famous for its boat lift, the Falkirk Wheel – a feat of engineering that joins boats from the Forth & Clyde Canal with the Union Canal. In the 350 hectare Helix Park, dominating the skyline is The Kelpies – the largest horse sculpture in the world. Great for road, rail and air

If you’re looking for a new build, Falkirk is ideally located between Edinburgh (26 miles) and Glasgow (23 miles) for easy commutes along the M9 and M80 respectively. If you’d prefer to jump on a train, you can get to Edinburgh in around 25 minutes and Glasgow in as little as 20 minutes. Kings Cross, London will take around five hours, however the sleeper can have you relaxed and in London Euston in around nine hours. Both Glasgow Airport (33 miles) and Edinburgh Airport (20 miles) have flights to London (80 minutes).


Your new home in Falkirk has two railway stations, Falkirk High and Falkirk Grahamston. The first has regular high-speed links into Glasgow and Edinburgh, while the second is on the Edinburgh to Dunblane line stopping at Edinburgh Waverley, Park and Haymarket. Dunblane is about 22 minutes away. Falkirk also has a good bus network with Bathgate, Broxburn and Stirling all covered.

Going to town

Your new home in Falkirk has a fantastic town centre with a good choice of shops and services. There’s a pedestrianised High Street where the Howgate and the Central Retail Park have many of the national high street brands, great entertainments and eating out options. Falkirk has a great choice of supermarkets, but if you fancy shopping local, the local Farmers’ Market is packed with produce and local crafts for you to enjoy. Your new build is close to the action, including the Sunday car boot sale at the New Falkirk Stadium which is a must for picking up bargains. 

Great schooling

Your new house in Falkirk is well served by nursery, primary, secondary and independent schools. There are also some faith schools locally and three for special educational needs. In all, your new home in Falkirk has the pick of 15 schools including four secondary schools. 

A night out for fun

You’ll not be short of ideas in and around your new home in Falkirk. The Central Retail Park has a 12-screen cinema, and the town centre is filled with cafés, bistros, bars and restaurants.
