Waddington

One of Lincolnshire’s Cliff Villages, it is set on a long high ridge, which means you can enjoy panoramic views across the countryside. The village also has a longstanding association with RAF Waddington on its outskirts, giving it thriving village amenities and a family-friendly community to call home.

Living in Waddington

Knowing you’re well-connected

Situated between the A15 and the A46, the village has direct routes into Lincoln, including the A607 which runs directly from the village centre. Lincolnshire is a spacious rural county with roads (that have since been updated) dating back to Roman times, so there’s lovely weekend-driving routes that link the surrounding villages and hamlets.

Hykeham, Lincoln and Metheringham are the closest train stations, with East Midlands Railway operating services from Lincoln to London St Pancras as well as other destinations in the East of England. Buses take you to Lincoln Central Bus Station in around 40 minutes.

The best of both

The village has its own excellent facilities and amenities, and with Lincoln only a 25 drive away, you’ve also got the option of the city’s independent and larger shops. There’s also a range of local pubs, including a gastro pub, and the choice of two primary schools: All Saints’ and Redwood. For secondary education, Lincoln and North Hykeham offer excellent options.

Awe-inspiring architecture and family-friendly facilities

A 15 minute drive away, North Hykeham has an excellent leisure facility which includes a swimming pool, sports pitches, an indoor sports hall and a café.

The city of Lincoln, that dates back to Medieval times, is also on your doorstep for arts and culture. Featuring various theatres, restaurants, pubs and Lincoln’s architecturally stunning Culture Quarter. Don’t forget the ancient landmarks - Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle – home to an original copy of the Magna Carta.
