Living in Wellingborough

Everything you need

A lively town, Wellingborough also has plenty of green space. Plus, the River Nene and its chain of lakes flows to the south of the town, creating a beautiful natural landscape.

To match the modern living of a new home, the town centre is home to high-street chains, a shopping centre, large supermarkets, and the weekly Whitehorse Yard markets. Slightly out-of-town, you have access to retail parks as well – so there’s something for all the family.

Well connected

The A45 runs along the southern border of the town, and is a direct route to Northampton. Taking under half an hour, it also gives you access to the M1 and the East Midlands.

When you want to get away, within a two-hour drive, you’ve got the choice of London Stansted, Luton, East Midlands and Birmingham airports.

Days out for everyone

Complete with a range of lovely parks – including a free water park – out of town, you’ve got The Stanwick Lakes, Sywell Country Park, Pitsford Water Nature Reserve and Grafham Water – ideal if you love lakeside walks.

In terms of facilities, the town has two leisure centres, Waendel and Redwell. Wellingborough Museum also offers days out for all ages, and features an indoor and outdoor cinema.
