New homes in Cramlington

Cramlington has Newcastle-upon-Tyne in its sights. It’s only 9 miles north of the bright lights of the North East’s buzzing capital, and the same distance from Newcastle International Airport. This well-established ‘new town’ supports a busy economy of its own, as well as being a great commuter base. It’s in a strong position between the East Coast and the A1, giving a new home here easy access to Newcastle, the North Sea and the countryside of Northumberland - three very different landscapes to make the most of.

Living in Cramlington

On the go

The A1 takes the lion’s share of the flow of traffic through the North East. It’s linked to Cramlington by the A19 and the A189, though there’s a smaller cross-country route via the A1172 which joins the A1 at Shotton if you are heading north. The A1 southbound takes you into the west of Newcastle and across the Tyne to Gateshead, and the A19 heads to the east of the city for Tynemouth, North Shields (where there’s an International Ferry Terminal) and across the Tyne to South Shields (where there’s a fabulous sandy beach). Cramlington’s train station is on the East Coast mainline which runs between London King’s Cross and Edinburgh Waverley. The average journey time by train into Newcastle is just under 15 minutes, making it a great option for commuters. Arriva North East provides express bus services to Newcastle, Morpeth and Blyth, and Go North East run bus services to and from North Shields.
