Hessle
Hessle has one of the East Riding of Yorkshire’s great landmarks on its doorstep. The great Humber Bridge.
The town is right on the edge of the Humber Estuary with an amazing viewpoint – quite literally! Though Hessle is considered to be part of Hull, it’s got a mind of its own too, with plenty of independent shops and services, a long-standing history from ship-building days, and a real sense of community.
The local schools play a part in any community and Hessle has a High School & Sixth Form College to follow on from its primary and junior schools. Best of all for bringing everyone together is the famous Hessle Feast – a local event not to be missed if you have chosen a new home here.
Hull has all the amenities that you would expect in a big city and it’s under 6 miles from Hessle to the city centre. A little bit further afield, the great North Sea coast will blow the cobwebs away and Flamborough Head is a highlight to aim for.
