With Hull’s city centre only 5 miles away, you’ve got all the back up you might need in terms of high street shopping, culture, entertainment and nightlife. Hull’s Old Town is the city’s historic quarter, where you’ll find pubs, restaurants and museums. Queen Victoria Square, at the heart of the city, is home to City Hall, the Maritime Museum and the Ferens Art Gallery. The Deep is a huge aquarium and sealife centre in a spectacular quayside setting. Whatever your interests and whatever age your children are, this is a great city for all the family.

Routes from your new house in the East Ridings

There are various options for driving into Hull city centre just 5 miles away from your new home, including the A1079, which is the York to Hull road. The A164 is the direct route that skims the west of the city, starting in Beverley and crossing the Humber at Hessle. This is also where you can pick up the A63, to join the start of the M62. Once on the motorway, you’ve got a great link right across the country to Liverpool via Leeds, Huddersfield and Manchester. The A165 takes you northeast and up the coast to Scarborough.

The train station is on the Yorkshire Coast Line for trains into Hull, with York, Sheffield, Doncaster and Scarborough amongst its destinations. There’s also a direct train to London King’s Cross from Hull. In addition, there are regular bus services into the city, to Beverley and to Hessle. Humberside Airport, with domestic and European destinations, is 19 miles to the south with a direct route on the A164 and A15.
