Cheering on White Notley Bees for second year

A grassroots girls' football team has brand new kits for the season ahead thanks to a £1,200 donation from the Essex region.

White Notley Bees Under-10s Girls, part of White Notley Football Club, were awarded funding through our Community Champions scheme.

The donation marks the second consecutive year that the Essex business has supported the side, which was established last year to provide opportunities for girls to get involved in football in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.

Representatives from the business recently met with players and coaches from the team to learn more about the club's progress and the positive impact it is having on young people and families in the area.

Richard Hush, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes Essex, said: "We are delighted to continue supporting White Notley Bees Under-10s Girls through our Community Champions programme.

"Grassroots sports teams play an important role in bringing communities together, encouraging healthy lifestyles and helping young people build confidence, friendships and valuable life skills.

"It has been fantastic to see how the team has grown over the past year, and we are proud to be able to play a small part in supporting their continued development."

Coach Emma Wright said: "We are incredibly grateful to Persimmon Homes Essex for their ongoing support.

"As a relatively new team, this funding will make a real difference by helping us provide the equipment and resources our players need to develop and enjoy the game. The generosity shown by Persimmon for a second year demonstrates a genuine commitment to supporting our young players.”

Persimmon Homes Essex is currently selling new homes at The Maples, in neighbouring Cressing, with home starting at £330,000.
