Kirkintilloch is nine miles north east from Glasgow and has two main routes down into the city, one via the A803 and the other, slightly faster A806 joining the M80. From Glasgow you can take the M8 west and join the M77 down to the borders, or head east to Edinburgh (56 miles) or avoid Glasgow altogether and join the M80 north and then M9 west. Glasgow airport is around 17 miles and Edinburgh airport is 43 miles - both making it easy to catch regional and international flights. From your new house in Kirkintilloch you can take the Lenzie to Glasgow train - it takes just 10 minutes into Glasgow Central and there are two trains an hour. Or take the X85 and X87 First Bus services also get you into the city.
