The town is located between Maidstone and Hastings along the A229, the town has direct access to Maidstone – where you can then connect with the M20 and, a little further north, the M2. Both of which take you to the East Coast and London. 

For travel by rail, you have three popular train stations nearby: Staplehurst station, Maidstone East and Marden - and they all offer services to London Bridge, for example, in under an hour. Heathrow Airport is just over an hour’s drive away. 

Schools and everyday amenities

For day-to-day amenities, the town has everything you need with local shops,  sports facilities and nearby farm shops for fresh produce. And for shopping days out and larger supermarkets you have Royal Tunbridge Wells and Maidstone, which are both around half an hour’s drive away. Ideal for growing families, the town has a range of good primary and secondary school options, including Cranbrook Church of England Primary School.

Apart from the surrounding (and stunning) High Weald National landscape,  your new house is only a 10-minute drive away, you have the beautiful National Trust Sissinghurst Castle Garden that’s perfect for weekend walks for all the family. For countryside and history-packed days out, there’s also the National Trust Scotney Castle, Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest and Pashley Manor Gardens – all within half an hour’s by car.
