In less than half an hour by car, from the town centre, you can be in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Or for coastal views, Whitstable or Herne Bay are both reachable in under an hour, and there’s always days out on offer exploring the neighbouring Isle of Sheppey.

For history lovers, the cathedral city of Canterbury is a nearby drive of under 40 minutes. Plus, the dockyard at Chatham is a fun trip for all ages.
