Living in West Bromwich

Shop from your new house

Birmingham is well-known for its shopping, but if you'd like to shop closer to your new home, there is a New Square - a fantastic glass covered entertainment and shopping complex featuring supermarkets, 30 high street stores, eateries and a five-screen cinema. There's the Kings Square Shopping Centre and the Queen's Square Shopping Centre - both with a unique shopping experience with outlets and boutiques.

The Astle Retail Park has big brand shops as well as restaurants and cafes - but should you get bored of shopping, you could always enjoy plenty of fun activities including Inflatanation, Mecca Bingo or fitness at PureGym. Prefer outdoor fitness? There are five golf courses within a short drive of your new build.

Commuting made easy

Your new house is within the golden square of Walsall, Wolverhampton (both 9 miles), Dudley (4 miles) and Birmingham Town Centre (6 miles) - offering fast commutes. The M5 runs along the eastern side of the town, making trips to the North West via the M6 and South West, easy. If you're looking for a great train service from your new build, Tame Bridge Parkway station can oblige with frequent services into Birmingham New Street (15 minutes) and London Euston (2 hours). Birmingham Airport is on the far side of the city, but via the M6, it's only a 20 mile drive from your new home.

Sail away close to home

Birmingham is famous for its Bullring Shopping Centre, world-food, nightlife and culture. But, for something a bit different, head into Birmingham from your new home to the historic network of inner-city canals spreading out from Sherborne Wharf - a great place to go for bars and cafés. You can even take boat trips from there to get a different view of the city. So, jump on a train, or take one of the frequent buses that run through the town and treat yourself to a day out.

Entertainments straight from your new build

Your new home has a state-of-the-art Odeon cinema in New Square; the Leisure Centre, has a fabulous pool and the Hilltop Golf Course in the Sandwell Valley Country Park takes some beating. The park itself has great facilities with wonderful open space, cycle hire, children’s play areas and funfair, as well as playing fields. If you want a city break, you can head for the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, about an hour’s drive away.
