There are excellent road and rail routes to Glasgow from Saltcoats, making a new home here popular with commuters and putting some of the other towns in North Ayrshire within easy reach. This includes Irvine, Kilmarnock, Prestwick and Ayr as well as the local towns of Ardrossan and Stevenston.

South Beach is the town's sandy beach with amazing views across the Firth of Clyde to the mountains of Arran and there are many more lovely beaches all along the Ayrshire coast. You can take the coastal road to the north, following the shores of the Firth of Clyde, or south all the way down to Stranraer.

Excellent commuter links

The site benefits from great transport links and easy access to the centre of Stevenston, Saltcoats and Ardrossan, known as The Three Towns. The A78 connects this group of towns with Kilwinning and Irvine. The new Dalry Bypass makes commuting to Glasgow and Paisley by car even easier. Glasgow is also within easy reach by train, with regular services to Glasgow Central.

Excellent activities nearby

There are really good local leisure facilities in the area, including Stevenston Beach and Ardrossan South Beach, both of which are under 1.5 miles from Mayfields. There's also Auchenharvie Leisure Centre, the Premier Leisure Cinema and Auchenharvie Golf Complex nearby – meaning there's an activity to suit everyone within this popular area.

Good schooling

There are a range of great local schools in the area, for example Glencairn Primary and St Anthony's Primary. There's also Auchenharvie Academy 1.2 miles from Mayfield Farm and St Matthew's Academy 0.5 miles from Mayfields development.
