Donation strengthens community wellbeing at Wem Swimming & Lifestyle Centre

Persimmon Homes West Midlands has donated £3,500 to Wem Swimming and Lifestyle Centre through its Community Champions scheme, helping to support the future of the much-valued local facility.

The donation will contribute towards the centre’s ongoing fundraising efforts to help sustain and improve the services it offers to the local community. The facility provides opportunities for people of all ages to swim, use the gym, and improve both their mental and physical wellbeing.

Councillor Gary Groves, Vice Chairman of Shropshire Council and Liberal Democrat Councillor for Wem and Wem Rural, commented:

“I would like to sincerely thank Persimmon Homes for their generous £3,500 contribution through the Community Champions scheme. Wem Swimming Pool is a vital facility for residents of Wem and Wem Rural, and support like this plays a key role in helping to secure its future for the benefit of local residents.”
