Golfers show their support for Lighthouse Charity

Our South East team has raised an impressive £9,500 for the Lighthouse Charity following a successful golf day.

The event, held at Tudor Park Golf Club, brought together contractors, suppliers and business partners from across the region for a day of friendly competition, networking and fundraising, with all proceeds going towards supporting the construction industry's charity.

The Lighthouse Charity provides holistic support to our UK and Ireland construction community covering all aspects of emotional, physical and financial wellbeing. Their free and confidential 24/7 helpline and 1:1 online chat service provides support on a huge variety of wellbeing issues and these services are complemented by their free self-support app.

The golf day saw teams from Persimmon Homes South East and its contractors take to the course and compete in various challenges and was followed by a raffle and auction.

Gav Nicholson, Contracts Manager at Persimmon Homes South East and organiser of the event, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have raised £9,500 for Lighthouse. The support we received from our contractors was fantastic and really demonstrated the generosity that exists across our industry.

Lighthouse provides invaluable support to construction workers and their families, and we're proud to be helping raise funds for such an important cause.

“Organising an event like this is very much a team effort and I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended, sponsored activities, donated prizes and contributed to making the day such a success. The response exceeded our expectations and we couldn't have achieved this total without their support.”
