Persimmon East Wales supports Keep Roath Tidy with £1,000 donation

Persimmon Homes East Wales has donated £1,000 to community group Keep Roath Tidy to support its ongoing work improving green spaces and enhancing the local environment in Cardiff.

The funding has been provided through our Community Champions scheme, which supports grassroots organisations making a positive difference in the areas where Persimmon builds. Every year it donates around £50,000 to groups and organisations across Wales.

Representatives from Persimmon were joined by local ward member and Cardiff Council Cabinet Member, Cllr Dan De’Ath, to meet volunteers from Keep Roath Tidy and see first-hand the impact of their work across the Roath area.

This year, Keep Roath Tidy is celebrating its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of community action, environmental stewardship, and civic pride. The group is now looking to build on that success by launching new community schemes to engage even more residents in keeping Roath clean and green.

Cllr Dan De’Ath, Cabinet Member and ward member for Plasnewydd on Cardiff Council, said:

“As they mark their tenth anniversary, it’s great to see their ambition to grow and involve even more residents.
