Plans submitted for 90 much-needed new homes in Aveley

Plans for 90 new energy-efficient homes for Thurrock have been submitted by the Essex region,
The proposed site off Park Lane, Aveleyt already benefits from outline planning consent and we are seeking approval of the finer details. The development would bring a mix of two, three and four-bedroom homes and would include three apartment buildings, with 40% of the homes provided as affordable housing to help more local people access a home of their own.
The development has been designed around generous green space, new children's play areas and landscaped streets, creating an attractive environment for both new and existing residents. Existing trees and hedgerows would be retained where possible, alongside new planting and sustainable drainage features to support wildlife and improve biodiversity.
Located on the edge of Aveley, close to local schools, shops, leisure facilities and public transport links, the development would provide easy access to amenities while also introducing new walking and cycling connections to encourage active travel.
In addition to delivering new homes, the development will provide a range of community benefits through Section 106 contributions towards healthcare services, nursery and primary education, Belhus Park, sustainable transport initiatives including a car club, and travel plan monitoring.
