Raising the roof with record fundraising total
29 January 2026
Colleagues from our Suffolk business have raised £24,300 for an Ipswich-based hospice, making it their most successful charity partnership yet.
The team from Persimmon Homes Suffolk chose St Elizabeth Hospice as their Charity of the Year for 2025 and pulled together to raise the record sum.
They hosted a bring-your-dog-to-work event, bake sales, and a golf day with their contractors, and even wore their pyjamas.
Intrepid colleagues also took part in the hospice’s annual Midnight Walk through Ipswich last spring, which was also sponsored by the five-star housebuilder through their Community Champions fund taking the total value of their support last year to nearly £35,000.
Members of the hospice’s fundraising team were invited to Persimmon’s Aldhurst View development in Leiston on Friday to receive the funds, with Suffolk Coastal MP Jenny Riddell-Carpenter joining the celebratory event.
Sarah Stafford, Corporate and Sponsorship Fundraising Manager for St Elizabeth Hospice, said: “What an incredible year of fundraising it has been, £23,400 is an amazing amount of money raised and we are eternally grateful for all the hard work and support from the team at Persimmon Homes Suffolk in 2025.”
Jenny Riddell-Carpenter MP said: “St Elizabeth Hospice provides vital services for families in East Suffolk when they most need it and I am grateful to the team members art Persimmon Homes who have clearly taken the cause to heart and raised such a wonderful sum of money for them.”
Gary Lee, Technical Director of Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: “We are proud to be part of the community here in Suffolk and one way we do that is by supporting local causes. Our team has worked hard and everyone involved in Persimmon Homes Suffolk has given generously to help us achieve this record figure.
“We know St Elizabeth Hospice relies so heavily on donations and it is a pleasure to hand over this money and know we are helping them to provide services for families across Ipswich and East Suffolk who are living with life-limiting illnesses and conditions."
