Persimmon Homes North Midlands has donated £1,000 to Vision Girls Football Club’s Under-13s team in Nuneaton through its Community Champions scheme.
The donation will help the squad of 11 girls purchase England kits ahead of their trip to Sweden, where they have been selected to represent England as flag bearers at the opening ceremony of the Gothia Cup.
The Gothia Cup is one of the world’s largest youth football tournaments, bringing together young players from 77 countries and featuring almost 2,000 teams.
Coach Aston, Coach Rob and Coach Andre from Vision Girls Football Club commented: “On behalf of everyone at Vision Football Club, we are incredibly grateful for this generous donation, which will provide our squad with England kits to proudly wear as flag bearers at the Gothia Cup in Sweden.
It is a fantastic opportunity for the girls, and we really appreciate Persimmon’s investment in youth girls’ football and its support in empowering our talented young players.”
Charlotte Goode, Managing Director at Persimmon Homes North Midlands, added: “We are delighted to support the squad with their England kits and hope they have an unforgettable experience in Sweden. Supporting young people and grassroots sport is an important part of our commitment to the communities in which we build, and we wish the girls every success.”
