Ideally located on the A7, one of the main routes into Edinburgh via Dalkeith. The city centre is about 15 miles away, taking approximately 35 minutes to drive. Edinburgh's ring road, the A720, gives you easy access to all the main A-roads that radiate out from the city, as well as to the M8 to Glasgow, the M9 to Falkirk and the M90 which crosses the Firth of Forth at Queensferry. Edinburgh Airport is less than 20 miles away via the A720, taking about an hour by car. From your new home, let the train take the strain with services taking just 25 minutes into Edinburgh Waverley. Lothian Buses are another option, with a journey time into Edinburgh of around 45 minutes.

Secondary schools in the catchment area are Newbattle Community High School and St David’s RC High School in Dalkeith, and Lasswade High School in Bonnyrigg all a short school bus ride away at 4-6 miles away.
Embrace the great outdoors
Head north east for the Vogrie Country Park with woodland, walking trails, a children's adventure playground and lots of special events throughout the year. To the north west, Gore Glen Woodland Park is a natural woodland with walking trails. For adventures further afield, the Pentland Hills Regional Park is a 20-mile-long range of hills, with reservoirs, walks, bird-watching and amazing views from the peaks. The capital is the place to go for cinema, theatre, eating out and international events such as the Fringe Festival.
