Persimmon Homes

Once a former mining town, Gorebridge offers historic charm, natural beauty, commuter convenience and a great community spirit that make it a peaceful yet well-connected place to live in Midlothian. The town has a well trodden high street with a clothes shop, hardware store, convenience stores, a supermarket and pub as well as a bowling club, leisure centre, country park and a train station.

Your new home in Gorebridge is just 15 miles south of Edinburgh, making it a very commutable drive or just 25 minutes on the regular ScotRail service. If you're looking for walking, cycling or bird-watching, head to the reservoir in the Pentland Hills Regional Park with nine hills that stretch from the City of Edinburgh down to Carlops. The coast is welcoming, year-round and Musselburgh (9 miles) or North Berwick (25 miles) is a must for fish & chips or crazy golf on the beach. Or if you're a serious golfer, tee off at the Musselburgh Golf Course, and walk the fairways of history on one of the oldest golf courses in the world.
