Bishopton

When the Romans came, they built forts all along the Antonine Wall, ending up at Bishopton. Today, there are still reminders of a rich historical past including the Roman causeway towards Dumbuck Hill and the Armistice Monument, but Bishopton is very much forward looking.

Earmarked as a place that will double in size in the coming years, Bishopton currently has two primary schools with a third planned for 2027, it has a new library, leisure centre and community centre. New developments have given the village new road links making it easy to join to the M8 for a 20 minute commute to Glasgow - or to use the new park and ride and journey into the city by train in just 25 minutes.
