Application submitted for high quality homes in South Gloucestershire
25 September 2025
Charles Church Severn Valley has lodged its application with council planners to bring 94 new homes to Harry Stoke on the outskirts of Bristol.
All homes included in the plans will be zero carbon-ready, equipped with air source heat pumps and electric vehicle charging points, and have access to a new equipped playground on the site.
The reserved matters application reserves 25 of the high-quality homes for a local housing association, one of which will be wheelchair accessible, to address housing pressures in the area.
The scheme, which is part of the East of Harry Stoke New Neighbourhood project, also includes actions to maximise both tree and hedgerow retention.
Charles Church is an accredited five-star housebuilder and the sister company of Persimmon Homes. It also has outlets at Beaufort Park in Cribbs Causeway and Haywood Village in Weston-super-Mare, where prices start at £359,000.
Commenting on the application’s submission, Charles Church Severn Valley’s managing director, Claire Burton, said:
“We’re pleased that we have finalised our plans to bring nearly 100 high-quality, new homes to Harry Stoke.
“The scheme’s green credentials, housing association allocation, and sense of place all contribute to our mission of leaving a positive and lasting legacy as well as a highly desirable living space for local people.
“Charles Church looks forward to working closely with planners at South Gloucestershire District Council to ensure this development delivers on our shared goals in tackling the housing crisis.”
