Charity on North Tyneside Celebrates Funding Win

A community interest company based in North Tyneside is celebrating after netting a £4,000 donation from a national housebuilder.
Justice Prince, which works to provide community support services including employment advice, has been award the funding after applying to an initiative run by Persimmon Homes.
Representatives from Persimmon recently presented members of the Justice Prince team with a cheque for £4,000 at their base at the Oxford Centre in Longbenton.
The funding will enable Justice Prince to continue its focus on grassroots community development, education, training, and social research, supporting individuals and underrepresented groups to engage in positive social action.
Director and Co-founder of Justice Prince Julie Cruddas said: “This donation will have a significant impact on our ability to support people facing the difficult choice between heating and eating.
“It enables us to provide essential food and household support to help local people manage rising living costs. It also funds vital wellbeing initiatives like the Men Can group, which promotes positive health, wellbeing and social connection in the local community.”
Stuart Grimes, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes North East said: “We recognise the importance of supporting grassroots organisations like Justice Prince CIC, whose work has a direct and lasting impact on local people’s lives. We are proud that this funding will help strengthen vital community support and wellbeing initiatives.”
Persimmon’s Community Champions initiative is open to all local charities, community groups, clubs and schools looking for funding. Winners are chosen every quarter, receiving between £1,000 and £6,000.
