Persimmon Homes North Scotland backs Scone Village Association through its Community Champions programme

Scone Village Association has received a £3,500 donation from Persimmon Homes North Scotland, supporting the group’s ongoing work to provide leisure facilities, events, and activities for residents.

Louise Scott, Head of Customer Care at Persimmon North Scotland and a Scone resident, was joined by Mid Scotland and Fife MSP Murdo Fraser at the association’s coffee morning to present the cheque to members of the group. The donation comes shortly after Persimmon broke ground on its new 42-home energy-efficient development in the village, underlining the homebuilder’s commitment to supporting local communities.

Founded in 2005, Scone Village Association is a voluntary charitable group that helps enhance village life. It manages the ball court, publishes the local magazine Destiny, organises the Christmas lights, and runs adult classes and leisure activities for residents.

Commenting, Scottish Conservative MSP Murdo Fraser said:

“This is a very generous donation by Persimmon Homes to the Scone Village Association and is very welcome. I was delighted to help present the cheque for £3,500 to Association members at their recent coffee morning.

“I know the money will go towards the Association’s work, which includes providing events and activities for local residents.”

Louise Scott said:

"We’re delighted to support the fantastic work of Scone Village Association. They do so much to bring the community together and provide opportunities for people of all ages.

“It’s wonderful to be part of a project that not only delivers new homes but also supports groups making a real difference locally."

Julie Livingstone, Chair of Scone Village Association, said:

"We sincerely thank Persimmon Homes for their generous donation of £3,500, which will enable us to continue the work we do for the people of Scone."

Persimmon’s Community Champions programme donates up to £6,000 each quarter from every regional business to local charities, schools, and community groups across Scotland.

The homebuilder is currently creating 104 energy-efficient homes in the village at its Palace View development, offering a range of properties from two-bedroom semi-detached homes to four-bedroom detached family houses, with prices starting from £194,000. For more information, visit their website.
