Two brothers from Warwickshire who have represented Team GB in extreme frisbee, have secured £500 funding from their employer to aid their pursuit of the sport.
Robert and Rupert Pantling from Leamington Spa, have been given a donation from the employer Persimmon Homes to fund the travel and training required to compete at this level.
The brothers, who both work on the Company’s Newland and Moathouse developments on Hospital Lane, Bedworth belong to Leamington Lemmings, a Club that was established in 2006.
They have competed in the under 17's and the under 20's, winning the under 20's indoor nationals in 2025.
The brothers have a string of successes including winning the Southampton tour in 2023, Regional Awards in 2024 and 2025 and Spirit Award for sportsmanship.
Commenting on the brother’s success, Paul Coles, Operations Director at Persimmon Homes Central said:
“Robert and Rupert are committed to their sport and it’s great to see them competing at such a high level. We were only too pleased to help them with some additional funding so they can continue to follow their dream and hopefully go on to achieve even more success in the future.”
Robert and Rupert commented:
“We’re delighted that Persimmon has supported us with the funding. As any sportsperson will know, it’s expensive to be involved in games at this level and we’re really grateful for the support. We’re excited for the future and are pleased to be doing something we both love. It’s a great sport and would encourage any young people to get think about getting involved.”
