More housing for local people released at major South Wales development

The developer behind the Parc Llanilid site between Pencoed and Pontyclun has handed over the latest tranche of homes to a local housing association on-site.

Persimmon Homes West Wales and Hafod Housing marked the transfer of 12 one-bed apartments at Michaels Grove, one of Persimmon’s two outlets at Llanilid, all for social rent.

This brings the housing association’s total properties at Michaels Grove to 22. Persimmon has also sold 21 properties via Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s Homebuy Scheme, which reserves the properties at a discounted market price for local people.

As a leading provider of social housing in south Wales, Hafod is committed to providing homes that are affordable, high quality and designed to support people’s lives now and into the future. 

In a prime location, close to the M4, the new homes have great access to local amenities as part of Parc Llanilid, which will be host over 1700 homes once complete.

Work began on the brownfield site in 2019 and longer-term plans for the development will feature a new primary school and village centre, including leisure, retail, and community facilities. 

Persimmon Homes has two, three, and four-bed homes available for sale at its two outlets at Parc Llanilid, Michaels Grove and Morgans Walk, from £219,995.
