New homes in Barton-upon-Humber given green light

Plans for nearly 400 new homes in Barton-upon-Humber have been given the green light.

North Lincolnshire Councillors voted to approve plans brought forward by Persimmon Homes for 388 new homes on land to the west of Brigg Road and south of Horkstow Road.

Outline planning permission was previously granted for up to 390 homes on the site.

The development will offer a broad mix of homes, ranging from one to four-bedroom properties. 20 bungalows will also feature, all of which will be wheelchair accessible.

Developers will deliver two new play areas, as well as extensive areas of public open space, a community orchard, allotments and a viewing platform overlooking the Humber Bridge.
