Persimmon to consult on final phase of major Plymouth scheme
29 June 2026
Saltram Meadow in Plymstock is inviting local residents to give their thoughts on plans for its tenth and final phase.
Persimmon Homes Cornwall & West Devon are seeking planning consent for around 200 new homes on the eastern edge of the site, which already has outline planning permission establishing the principle of development in the area.
Phase 10 also includes public open space, landscaping, and active travel routes to the proposed country park located to the immediate north of the development and Billacombe Green, also under consideration.
Pedestrian, cycle, and bus links to and from Morley Meadow Primary School – which Persimmon delivered – and the proposed market square that ties up the development also make up the plans.
Aldi is currently awaiting approval on their application to bring a store to the site a part of the wider offering at Saltram Meadow. Both Persimmon and the supermarket hosted a similar engagement exercise to discuss their plans earlier this year.
The consultation event will be held at the sales office of Charles Church (Encombe Street, PL9 7GH) – Persimmon’s sister company which has an outlet on-site, The Avenue – on Wednesday 8th July, between 3:30-7:30pm.
Commenting, a Persimmon spokesperson said:
“After being years in the making, Saltram Meadow is approaching one of its final hurdles in turning vision to reality.
“We are delighted to present our plans for the tenth and final phase of the site which will give a complete view of what to expect once construction has finished.
“Alongside the other proposals targeting approval that make up the amenities and placemaking pillars of the masterplan, Persimmon believes Saltram Meadow provides not just somewhere in which to live but a community in which to thrive.”
