Plans approved for additional homes at Tame Bridge View in Wednesbury
20 August 2026
Plans have been approved for 18 additional homes at Persimmon Homes Central’s Tame Bridge View development on the former Phoenix Collegiate site in Wednesbury.
The new energy-efficient one- to three-bedroom homes will extend the previously approved 105-home community.
Alongside the additional houses, £24,000 will be contributed towards local infrastructure and services through the Community Infrastructure Levy. Four of the 18 homes will be delivered as Affordable Rent, Shared Ownership and Discounted Market Sale properties, helping to meet local housing demand.
Designed as an extension to the existing community, the additional homes will complement the wider development while retaining the site’s existing tree belt and introducing enhanced landscaping. The plans will also see the play area relocated to a more central location, improving accessibility for residents across the development.
Paul Coles, Operations Director at Persimmon Homes Central, commented:
"We are delighted to have secured planning approval for an additional 18 houses at Tame Bridge View, allowing us to continue delivering high-quality homes for local people in Wednesbury.
We look forward to continuing our investment in the area and creating a place where both residents and the wider community can enjoy the benefits of a well-designed, sustainable community for years to come."
