Suffolk team drive home £28,000 for Lighthouse charity

The Suffolk region has raised an incredible £28,000 for construction charity Lighthouse following its annual golf day at Hintlesham Hall Golf Club.
The fundraising total nearly doubled last year's £15,000 and with Lighthouse being the team’s chosen charity of 2026 their efforts don’t stop there.
Teams have held dress down days, bake sales, and colleagues took part in skydive challenge too, with the hope of raising as much as possible for this valued charity before the end of the year.
The money will support Lighthouse, the only charity dedicated to the emotional, physical and financial wellbeing of construction workers and their families. The charity provides a range of vital services including a free 24/7 helpline, counselling support and charitable assistance for those facing hardship.
Stacy Brett, Managing Director of Persimmon Homes Suffolk, said: "We have seen first-hand the invaluable support Lighthouse provides to individuals and families across our industry, particularly during some very difficult times this year.
"The work carried out by the charity makes a real difference to people's lives when they need it most, and it is an honour for us to support such an important cause.
"I'd like to thank everyone who attended, sponsored a hole, donated prizes or contributed in any way to making this event such a success. Raising £26,000 is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates the generosity and community spirit that exists across our industry."
