Jutting out into the North Sea, with its pier and pleasure park stretching out further still, this beautiful location is somewhere you probably won't want to leave. But, if you do want to commute, or go on a day trip, it's just 10 miles to Great Yarmouth in the North and 13 miles down to Southwold.
The A12, A146 and A47 are the main road routes in and out. The A12 connects you with Ipswich (45 miles), Colchester (65 miles) and Chelmsford (87 miles) before heading into Greater London and joining the M25 (101 miles). The A146 takes you to Beccles, a wonderful market town just 10 miles inland, and then on to Norwich (30 miles). The town’s train station is at the end of the East Suffolk Line from Ipswich and the Wherry Line from Norwich. Trains to London Liverpool Street via Norwich take around two hours and 45 minutes. For flights, Norwich International Airport is a very convenient 24 miles away.
