The village has its own primary school, All Saints. Nearby Tarleton Academy and Meols Cop on the outskirts of Southport are the local secondary schools. Southport College of Further Education and Runshaw College in Chorley, welcome students from 16+. The local sixth form colleges are King George V in Southport and Cardinal Newman College in Preston. For travel further afield, the M6 is a 10-mile drive from your new house through Leyland (9 miles), linking Birmingham (106 miles) with Carlisle (102 miles). Croston is the nearest railway station, on the Ormskirk branch line which links to mainline services from Preston (13 minutes) or Liverpool (70 minutes). Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport is just over 30 miles to the south, taking about an hour by car.
