For education, there's a good choice of primary and secondary schools, including the Crofton Hammond Junior School. There’s also a good range of local sports facilities, that of course include water sports. 

Well connected

By car, it is near the M27, taking you to Portsmouth in approximately 20 minutes and Southampton in over half an hour. Linking with the M3, there’s also an excellent route connecting to the M25 – which takes you to Greater London via Winchester.  For travel by train, Fareham station offers regular routes to popular destinations such as Brighton, Bristol and London Waterloo (which takes approximately two hours). And for travel abroad, you have Southampton Airport less than an hour’s drive away.

Life on the coast and beyond

From the sailing boats and ferries heading to the Isle of Wight and the Channel Islands, busy port life is a fascinating, ever-moving scene. The coastline has some lovely beaches, including the local Hill Head Beach. Lee-on-Solent is also a favourite holiday spot, where you can stroll along the length of Marine Parade. Brownwich Beach in the other direction is a peaceful nature reserve that’s perfect for leisurely strolls. The stunning New Forest is also approximately 30 minutes by car.
