Flockton

Once a busy coal mining town, Flockton is now a quiet village offering a retreat away from its busier neighbours of Huddersfield and Wakefield. At the heart of your new home in Flockton is the grade II listed Victorian St James the Great Parish Church, with a community centre that brings the whole community together. Looking back at former communities, the now closed Caphouse Colliery (just over a mile away) has been transformed into the National Coal Mining Museum for England, preserving and bringing the region's rich industrial heritage to life.

While mining brought prosperity to the region, it is the rolling hills, ancient woodland and historic villages of your new home in the West Yorkshire countryside that makes the area so very special.
