Flockton

Once a busy coal mining town, Flockton is now a quiet village offering a retreat away from its busier neighbours of Huddersfield and Wakefield.

At the heart of your new home in Flockton is the Grade II listed Victorian St James the Great Parish Church, with a community centre that brings the whole community together. Plus, the now-closed Caphouse Colliery (just over a mile away) has been transformed into the National Coal Mining Museum for England, preserving and bringing the region's rich industrial heritage to life.

Now, it is the rolling hills, ancient woodland and historic villages that make your new home in this area in the West Yorkshire countryside so very special.

Living in Flockton

Perfectly located

Flockton is on the A637, which links Huddersfield with the M1. All these key towns and cities are served by the local cross-country main roads, the A642 and the A629, as well as the motorway.

Wakefield’s mainline train station operates North-eastern services, including to London King's Cross, Leeds, Doncaster and Newcastle. Leeds Bradford Airport is 26 miles away.
