Persimmon Homes Central has strengthened its top team following an internal promotion.

Emily Berville Charlesworth, who has undertaken the role of Head of Land for the last 12 months, has been promoted to the position of Land Director for the region.

In her new role, Emily will be responsible for acquiring new land to support the Persimmon Homes and Charles Church growth strategy in key strategic locations across the Central region.

Emily joined Persimmon Homes in 2018 as a Graduate Planner and since that time has achieved 6 promotions including Assistant Planner, Planner, Senior Planner, Land and Planning Manager, Head of Land and Land Director.

In 2024, Emily won the prestigious award of Young Property Person of the Year at the Midlands Insider Property Awards which was testimony to her successful career and the key role she has played in the industry.

Commenting on her promotion Emily said:

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be taking up the post of Land Director. I have thoroughly enjoyed the move to land acquisition and I’m excited to play my part in growing the business. I have received some excellent support from our Regional Managing Director in developing into the role and I welcome the trust he has put in me, to take on this new challenge.”

Neil Williams, Regional Managing Director at Persimmon Homes Central, said:

“I’m delighted to have promoted Emily to Land Director. She has worked hard to develop herself in the area of land buying and her background in planning will stand her in good stead when looking for land opportunities for us to develop.”
