The nearest train station is in Chester-le-Street, fifteen minutes away, which has services to Newcastle and Liverpool.
Road connections are excellent, with the A1 just minutes away, offering a direct connection to the North and South of England. The A690 runs directly through the town, linking Durham and Newcastle.
