Whitburn is a pretty coastal town located in a beautiful unspoilt location, between South Shields to the north and Sunderland to the south. Famous for its 18th-century windmill.

Situated on the coastal road between Sunderland (4 miles) and South Shields (5 miles). The nearby A184 will take you directly into Newcastle City Centre (14 miles) in around half an hour. The nearest Tyne and Wear Metro stations are at East Bolden (3 miles) and Seaburn (1 mile). Bus services run every 20-30 minutes to major centres in the area and are operated by Go North East and Stagecoach North East.
