Applications open for Persimmon Homes Wessex charity pot
16 January 2026
Persimmon Homes Wessex is inviting charities and community organisations in Wiltshire to apply for its Community Champions initiative, which offers funding to local good causes.
The accredited five-star homebuilder donates up £6,000 each quarter to support projects that make a positive impact in the areas where it operates. Since 2020, the initiative has provided over £3.5m to charities and community groups across Britain.
Recent Wiltshire winners of Community Champions funding include the Chippenham Team Takeover, Doorway Homeless Charity, Trowbridge RFC, Malmesbury Town Carnival, Chippenham RFC U10s, and Warminster Athenaeum Trust.
Alongside its community support, Persimmon and its sister company Charles Church continues to invest in the region through its live developments in Chippenham, Hilperton, Malmesbury, and Warminster – with applications in process for Trowbridge and Sutton Benger – which delivers much-needed homes and community infrastructure for local people.
Wiltshire Council’s Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning, Development Management, and Housing, Cllr Adrian Foster, praised Persimmon saying:
“It’s really positive to see Persimmon supporting local charities and much-valued organisations here in Wiltshire. These groups do invaluable work to improve people’s lives, and programmes like Community Champions make a real difference by supporting them in their pursuits.
“There are so many local groups that rely on the generosity of others to deliver their services, so I’d encourage any organisation that makes a positive impact in our county to apply to this accessible funding programme.”
Pauline Fletcher, Sales Director at Persimmon Homes Wessex, added:
“One of Persimmon’s core missions is to leave a positive and lasting legacy wherever we build – and our Community Champions programme is a key part of that.
“The groups and initiatives that apply to our scheme make their areas a brilliant place to live, and we want our customers and the future residents of those developments to benefit from them as well. That’s why we are happy to support them in this way.”
