Work underway at Anglia's Hopewell Park development

Anglia has officially broken ground at its new Hopewell Park development in Old Catton, which is the first phase of the wider 3,500 homes Beeston Park development.
Five-star, Norwich-based housebuilder, Persimmon Homes has secured detailed planning permission for a major new development of 326 homes, delivering a mix of one- to five-bedroom properties alongside significant open space and community infrastructure.
The groundbreaking at Hopewell Park marks a major milestone for this new community and Persimmon are looking forward to delivering a range of high-quality new homes for local buyers and families.
As part of the first phase of the development, £3.2 million in community investment will be delivered to support local infrastructure and services, helping ensure the growing community benefits for both new and existing residents in Old Catton.
As part of the wider development, plans will come forward for a new high street, two new primary schools, a health centre, two community centres and library. In addition to this, over 82.5 hectares of green space will be retained for play and recreation as well as a new country park.
